The Turbine develops 150kW of power which is transmitted to the gears C and D. Gear C receives 70.0kW and gear D receives the remaining 80.0kW. The rotation speedof the shaft is 50.0rad/s, its diameter is d=100.0mm and its shear modulus is G=75.0 GPa. Assume the journal bearing at E allows the shaft to turn freely about itsaxis (the bearing at E exerts no torque on the shaft).

(a) Determine the maximum shear stress in the shaft. Determine the angle of rotation of end B ( the turbine) of the shaft relative to end E. Determinethe maximum normal stress in the shaft.
