Purpose The main objective of this study is to determine the obesity rates between male and female respondents. Obesity means the body is having too much fat in it and it will result in various health disorders. It is the relationship between the height and weight of a person. The risk of obese person life shortening is very high when compared to a normal and healthy people. For an obese patient, the first symptom of health disorder is laziness as he finds it difficult to move his body around to even do an easy work and thus result in not doing any exercise to keep his body fit. This results to various health disorders like diabetes, hypertension, cancer, blood pressure and even cardiac problems. The categories of obesity level is given below A person is called obesity person when his/her BMI is above 35 A person is called Class I obesity person when his/her BMI falls between 30 and 35 A person is called overweight person when his/her BMI falls between 25 and 30 A person is called normal weight person when his/her BMI falls between 18.5 and 25 A person is called underweight person when his/her BMI falls under 18.5 Methods The descriptive statistics was performed for the variables included in the study. The variables included in the study are Age, Height, Weight, Waist, Pulse , Systolic BP, Diastolic BP, Gender, Cholesterol, BMI, Leg, Elbow, Wrist and Arm. Here, the variable Gender is a categorical variable and therefore frequency distribution was constructed for Gender and the remaining variables are continuous variables and are measured under interval scale. Histogram and Kolmogorov Smirnov test was used to test the normality assumption
