Essential questions for the final project Who is the organization What are their challenges How will you measure them How will you determine an intervention strategy to improve their situation
Essential questions for the final project:
Who is the organization?
What are their challenges?
How will you measure them?
How will you determine an intervention strategy to improve their situation?
What will you actually do (how will you intervene)?
What are potential obstacles to your intervention, and how will you manage those?
What is the expected outcome of your strategy?
How will you measure the outcome to determine the effectiveness of your implementation?
And, basically for every one of those questions (except perhaps for identifying the organization), you MUST support your analysis and plan with cited research.
What are pros and cons of different measurement approaches according to research? Why does your approach make sense?
What psychological theories (of motivation, leadership, goal setting, resistance to change, etc.) apply to each part of your plan? Summarize them, cite them, and explain: How do they help you understand the problem? How can they help you choose your intervention strategy? How do they help you predict likely outcomes?
According to research, what are some best practices for Organizational Consultants? What are some proven effective approaches to diagnosis, intervention, and measurement of outcomes?
Remember, the ultimate goal of this project is for you to demonstrate understanding of key I/O theories and practices; and, you demonstrate that understanding by applying them to your development of an intervention strategy.
Remember to review the grading rubric.
As noted in another announcement:
Don’t stress about including the presentation slides. The easiest thing would probably be to simply open your presentation’s Slide Sorter view, and screen shot that page into an Appendix section of your final paper. But, again, don’t stress too much. Do whatever’s easiest for you.
Please combine all completed milestones papers to complete this assignment. Please add additional pages if needed to reach the 30 page mark.
