Abstract: The study is concerned about attracting the customers for the retail outlet based operation. The researcher has taken the case of M&S to conduct the study. The overall study has been divided into five chapters. In the first chapter, the researcher has highlighted the context and the significance of the research. In addition, the aims, objectives and research questions have also been highlighted in this portion of the study. The second chapter has dealt with the theories and articles regarding the concerned topic. The significance of retail outlets to attract consumers has been shown in this chapter. In addition, the effectiveness of the current retail outlet based operation has been discussed in this portion of the research. The third chapter discusses the research paradigms and the methodology. In the current study, the researcher has considered mainly primary data analysis. Both the quantitative and qualitative data have been anlaysed in this research. Responses of the customers and managers of M&S have been gathered to conduct the research. In the fourth chapter, the researcher has presented the collected data. With the help of graphs and tables the researcher has analysed the data. The result has shown that the customers have preferred the retail outlet based operation compare to the online marketing due to the scope to experiment with the products. In addition, the result also highlighted on the pitfalls of the current retail outlet based operation of M&S. In the final; chapter, the researcher has concluded the study, by linking the findings with the objectives. In addition, the suitable strategies have been mentioned to improve the current retail based operation of the firm.
