Assessment Details This individual written assignment is a simulation of how a change agent such as an Organisational Development practitioner creates a change proposal for the client in the case study. The main purpose of this report is to create a preliminary diagnosis of problems and issues of the organisation in the case study and propose and justify a rational change model that the client can accept. The student must: • Research using the prescribed textbook and at least 2 academic journal articles or textbooks (refer to ProQuest /Ebsco/ ebrary that are accessible via Moodle) • Carefully select appropriate theories and concepts • Construct an in-depth and analytical discussion • Use evidence and examples to support your work • Write in a clear and logical manner. • Use in-text citations and referencing using the Harvard referencing system • Ensure that your work is NOT shared among other classmates or groups Assessment Weighting and Learning Outcomes • Weighting of this assessment is 30% of the final grade. • Learning Outcomes: o Analyse the challenges facing organisations to effectively achieve business objectives in the current global change paradigm. o Critically evaluate the relevance of various models, theories and concepts of organisational change in contemporary organisations. • Graduate Attributes: o GA: 1 Discipline Knowledge and Skills – students use discipline knowledge to identify organisational change opportunities, hazards and risks in a business case scenario o GA: 2 Workplace Skills and Values - students are exposed to a realistic business case and develop their sense of autonomy and professional responsibility in their analysis. o GA: 4 Information Literacy and Analysis and Problem-solving Skills – students need to review existing literature, analyse information provided in the case scenario, and provide solutions to the identified change issues.
