Transformation from broad acre to mixed farming
The overarching of this project is to identify the challenges and opportunities involved in the mixed farming. To Understand the key metrics in decision making by farmers that determines the success and failure for mixed farming in SA.
Final report involves in explaining only one out come Beach marks, key metrics, KPIs and the productivity.
This research carries out the information on clear models to fill the knowledge gaps in sheep and grain business in SA.
To analyse the current situation this research is carried out in various stages.
A few key Research Questions;
•What research has already been undertaken on this topic and what are the key issues and opportunities
• What information, tools, technology and KPI’s are currently used to make these business decisions
• Apart from profitability, what are the other factors that influence these decisions
• What are the key steps for transforming from broad acre to mixed farming.
