For the Week 3 Critical Thinking Exercise, students will review and estimate the components of GDP (consumption, investment, government spending, and net exports (exports less imports)) for the first quarter of 2017 and compare to the same quarter in 2016, 2015, and 2014.

After conducting the comparison, please explain what actual events or dynamics could have led to changes in each component in the economy basing supporting your response with research. Please utilize the chart below also as part of your analysis for graphical representation of GDP by component.
The submission should include a detailed written response reporting on all components of GDP for the time periods requested. Note, the course textbook can be a citation as a source for your assignment along with any other websites such as the Bureau of Economic Analysis (www.bea.gov) used to gather and report responses to these questions.
